How does it work?
Simply place the Freakmount 2.0, magnet side down, onto your metal tank, pull apart the sides of the mount, slide in your phone and release. This firmly holds your phone in place. Freakmount is designed to securely hold at high speeds in the most extreme weather conditions, even wind and rain.
Before using the mount:
- Place the mount on your tank. Then, simply pull apart the sides of the mount, slide in your phone and release. This firmly holds your phone in place. Freakmount has an anti-scratch padding on the side clamps to resist scratching of the phone.
- Take extra precautions (optional). Freakmount will not scratch your paint. However, it will attract steel or iron filings if you have them around. If you work around that type of environment, we recommend placing a small piece of fabric, gauze, chamois, or rubber between the magnet and your tank just to be safe. Don't worry, the magnet is strong enough for that.
- If you plan to leave your motorcycle unattended, we recommend removing your mount first. Freakmount is not liable for the loss or theft of the customer's mount or phone.
What materials is the Freakmount 2.0 made out of?
Each Freakmount uses 6 rare earth N52 neodymium magnets. Neodymium magnets are all graded by the material they are made of. The higher the grade (the number following the 'N'), the stronger the magnet. The highest grade of neodymium magnet currently available is N52. These magnets will not interfere with phone reception or display.
Will it scratch my tank?
The magnet is rubber-coated, meaning it won't scratch your tank. We recommend making sure both the tank and the magnet is clear of debris to ensure a scratch-free adhesion.
Will it scratch my phone?
The Freakmount has an anti-scratch padding on the side clamps to guard against scratching of the phone.
Does the magnet adhere to all types of tanks?
FreakMount uses magnets, so it only works on tanks with a magnetic surface (typically steel). It will not work on aluminum, plastic, fiberglass, or other non-magnetic tanks — and even on steel tanks, thick paint, clear coat, wraps, decals, or textured finishes can prevent a secure hold.
Tank material varies by brand, model, and year, so always confirm the mount sits securely and feels strongly magnetized on your specific tank before relying on it. Full compatibility and warranty details : here.
Will it fit my phone?
The Freakmount 2.0 is designed to accommodate bigger smartphones and cases up to 3.89" wide and 1.28" in thickness.
Can I mount anything else to it?
The magnet has a 1/4" 20 stud, so you can mount any standard attachment to it.
If my phone falls off and breaks or gets lost, will you guys buy me a new one?
Given that there is unlimited variations in tank materials, paint finishes, paint thicknesses, tank shapes, phone case thicknesses, phone types, etc — Freakmount is not responsible or liable for a phone being damaged while being used with our product. It is the responsibility of the user/consumer to assess whether the mount works with their motorcycle, motorcycle tank, phone and phone case.

Does the mount have vibration dampening properties?
The Freakmount was designed to mitigate the effects from road and bike vibrations at high speeds. The two sides of the mount move independently to prevent lateral movement.
